Commandment Number 1 – Thou shalt deep condition at least once a week.

Commandment Number 2 – Thou shalt moisturise once daily (during the hot months) and twice daily (during the cold months) with a water-based moisturising spritz.

Commandment Number 3- Thou shalt seal in the moisture after moisturising with a natural oil or butter.

Commandment Number 4 – Thou shalt never ever use sulfate shampoos.

Commandment Number 5 – Avoid hair products containing alcohol, parabens and sulfates.

Commandment Number 6 – Respect thy hair at night; tie it up with a satin scarf or use a satin pillowcase.

Commandment Number 7 – Natural hair must never ever EVER be combed dry.  Comb only when soaking wet with water and/or conditioner.

Commandment Number 8 – In fact, thou shalt keep thy hands OFF thy hair.  Comb and detangle only when you wash and deep condition.  At any others, use your fingers to detangle.

Commandment Number 9 – water is thy friend. Thou must cowash thy natural hair at least once a week (and up to 3ce a week) because regular washing keeps the scalp clean, allowing the hair to grow.

Commandment Number 10 – thou shalt ignore negative comments from other people regarding your natural hair.  Trust me, when they begin to see your full head healthy coily hair, they will eat their words.  So hold your head high and work that ‘fro!
